♻️ Ecobricks Competition 2025
“Freedom from plastic waste, strength for nature.”
The Ecogroup Society has launched a competition for students in government and non-government schools and colleges to make ecobricks from multilayer plastic waste. The goal is to make the Dehradun district free of plastic waste. This competition offers you a golden opportunity to participate and contribute to a plastic-free Dehradun.
What are Ecobricks?
Ecobricks are building blocks made from plastic bottles and compacted multilayer plastic waste. They are a simple and effective way to manage plastic waste and keep it out of the environment.
🧱 Minimum Standards for Ecobricks
- 1-liter bottle: 320 grams or more
- ½-liter bottle: 160 grams or more
- ¼-liter bottle: 80 grams or more
- Use plastic bottles of the same size.
- The bottles should be solid and dry.
- Only clean and dry multilayer plastic should be used as filling.
🙋 Who Can Participate?
This competition is open to
school and college students (up to 12th grade).
📅 Important Dates
- Last Date to Submit Ecobricks: September 15, 2025
- Last Date to Submit Student Details (via teacher): September 20, 2025
- Ecobrick Collection by Organizers: Before September 30, 2025
- Results Announcement: By the end of September 2025
- Prize and Certificate Distribution: October 2, 2025 (Gandhi Jayanti)

- First Prize: ₹2,100/-
- Second Prize: ₹1,100/-
- Third Prize: ₹500/-
- Consolation Prize: ₹200/- each (total of 5 prizes)
